The conference featured live surgeries, panel discussions, and hands-on training sessions with participation from multidisciplinary medical specialists.
The 11th Regional Conference of the Azerbaijan Society of Minimally Invasive Surgeons was held in Qusar district. The event was organized with the support of TƏBİB and the Azerbaijan Society of Minimally Invasive Surgeons, in collaboration with the Healthcare Workers’ Trade Union, Qusar Central District Hospital, and OKİ Hospital.
The conference was attended by the Head of the Qusar District Executive Authority, Sahir Mammadkhanov, Member of Parliament Azer Badamov, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Society of Minimally Invasive Surgeons, Professor Gurbankhan Muslumov, Director of Qusar Central District Hospital Imran Gurbanov, Chairperson of the Healthcare Workers’ Trade Union Committee Elnara Muradova, Head of OKİ Hospital Malik Karimov, Chief Physician Ilham Karimov, as well as medical specialists.
As part of the conference, surgical procedures performed using modern medical equipment were broadcast live to the conference hall. Professor Gurbankhan Muslumov performed a laparoscopic cholecystectomy, while Professor Islam Magalov carried out a laparoscopic removal of a left ovarian cyst.
Panel discussions were held in the fields of surgery, endoscopy, gynecology, urology, radiology, and otorhinolaryngology. Training sessions and masterclasses were also conducted.
On the second day, participants attended intensive hands-on training sessions covering laser proctology, surgical suturing techniques, hysteroscopy, CPR, tracheostomy, hemodialysis, and specialized modules for nurses.
